Redfearn, Brad

Brad Redfearn currently serves as a Lieutenant in the Criminal Investigations Division. He began his Law Enforcement career January 6, 1997 with Rock Hill Police as a Police Officer I and has substantially climbed through the ranks to his present position.

Brad graduated in December 1996, from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. Additionally, he attended the FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development, 55th Command Institute for Law Enforcement Executives. 

Brad has served tours within all four divisions of the Rock Hill Police Department, including his present position in the Chief’s office. He served as Sergeant of the Community Services Unit which included supervising nine School Resource Officers, Weeding Coordinator for the Weed and Seed program, and was responsible for all community services events. Brad successfully worked on all four former patrol teams and four of the new patrol teams, Special Projects Unit, as Field Training Officer, and served as a Patrol Sergeant on two different patrol teams before being transferred to the Community Services Unit. He also benefited from a successful tour in the Investigations Division where he served as a member of the York County Multijurisdictional Drug Enforcement Unit (YCMDEU).

Brad formerly implemented, wrote and managed the department’s National CALEA Accreditation, and currently supervises the departments’ accreditation manager. Under his administrative tenure, the Rock Hill Police Department has continuously been recognized as a Flagship Agency from CALEA. In addition, he has received many commendations, such as an award from York Technical College for participating on an expert DACUM panel. Brad has volunteered community service hours as Neighborhood Ambassador to many neighborhoods, as well as served as chair and liaison for the United Way Campaign for the Rock Hill Police Department.

Brad is married and has three children. He is an active member of the North Rock Hill Church, where he volunteers his services. Brad currently participates in Rolling in Rock Hill, Clean and Green and the York County United Way Allocations Committee.
