    The Rock Hill Fire Department Fire Training Center on Ogden Road has made GREAT progress.  The construction of the Burn Building has been completed and the construction of the Training Tower has began.  Projection of the Training Tower's completion is sometime in December 2017.

    In December of 2015 Rock Hill Fire Department was awarded a Insurance Service Office (ISO) rating of CLASS #1 this is a increase from the previous Class #3. This took effect in February 2016.

    Rock Hill Fire Department in 2015 took delivery of 2 ladder trucks. The 2 SMEAL trucks includes 1 straight ladder and 1 platform ladder.

    Rock Hill Fire Department in 2017 took delivery of 1 pumper truck. The Seagrave pumper truck is capable of flowing 1,500 gpm of water a minute.

    On November 02, 2017, the City of Rock Hill signed a contract with Seagrave for the construction of a new pumper truck.  The delivery date is projected to be on or before May 31, 2018.

    dec2005_043_webThe Department utilizes the most advanced technology to save lives and protect the property of our citizens and visitors. Currently, we have 8 engines, 2 ladders, a brush unit, tanker, specialized hazardous materials response vehicle and trailer, specialized technical rescue trailer, foam tanker, Fire Safety Smoke house, and a specialized fire investigation trailer and two swift water rescue boats. All fire apparatus are equipped with 12 lead cardiac monitors and several apparatus are equipped with thermal imaging cameras for search and rescue. The department has fire mobile computing ability to enhance real-time access to information and communication to firefighters in the field. Each fire apparatus is equipped with Panasonic Toughbooks and GPS. Vital data such as building pre-plans, diagrams, and chemical hazards can be accessed while enroute to an emergency.
