How is my property zoned?

All property in the City is assigned a zoning district.  The zoning district helps determine how the land can be used as well as what particular regulations apply to the land.  For a map that shows the zoning districts for all property in the City, see the City of Rock Hill Zoning Map.

Another helpful map is the Old Town Map, which shows which properties are located in "Old Town"; these properties have slightly different regulations than other areas of the City.  That is because this area has existed for many decades, so its properties often cannot meet the typical zoning standards of today.

What are the City's zoning regulations?

The regulations that guide the use of property in the City are primarily found in the Zoning Ordinance.  For a current list of the uses permitted in each zoning district, see List of Permitted Uses.  Please call us if you have any questions about this at 803-329-5687 - we are happy to help!
