Rapid Transit Study
The Rock Hill - York County (RYC) Rapid Transit Study was initiated in 2004 to identify several needs and issues that transit could play a role in addressing. These issues include: worsening congestion, trip-making patterns for Rock Hill - York County comuters, area land use patterns, mobility options for disadvantaged communities, and support of growing population and employment centers.
The primary product of the study is a Locally Preferred Alternative which is a transit alternative which takes into account the transit modal technology (vehicle type) and corridor alignment (route).
