The City of Rock Hill invites you to Light Up the Night with the Rock Hill Christmas Parade! The parade will be held on Friday, December 4th at 6:30 pm and will feature marching bands, lighted floats, mascots and more. The parade begins on Oakland Avenue at Winthrop University and ends downtown on Main Street. The Rock Hill Christmas Parade is sponsored by Comporium and Piedmont Medical Center and is coordinated by Rock Hill Parks, Recreation & Tourism and many community volunteers.
Street Closings: To prepare for parade assembly on Dec. 4th, Oakland Ave. from Cherry Rd. to Stewart Ave. will be closed to general traffic beginning at 2pm. The municipal parking lot between Elizabeth Ln. and Saluda St. will be closed all day except for CATS Park and Ride patrons. The parade route will be closed at 5:45pm and will remain closed until the parade has safely passed. The parade route begins at Oakland Ave. and Stewart Ave, proceeds down Oakland, turns right onto White Street, left through the Wachovia parking lot cut-through, left onto Main St. and up Main St., ending at the municipal parking lot between Elizabeth Ln. and Saluda St. Additionally, Saluda St. between Main St. and Black St. will close at 5:45pm and Main St. from Elizabeth Ave. to Confederate Ave. will close at 5:45pm. |
