About the Trail
This linear 3.35 mile paved, multi-use trail winds along the scenic Catawba River with a variety of flat and hilly sections and some steep grades. It spans Riverwalk at its northern end and River Park at its southern end. The trail is 10' wide and is a shared use trail for walking/running and cycling. Part of the Rock Hill Trails and Greenways System and the Carolina Thread Trail.
- Restrooms available in the parking lots at Riverwalk, River Park and the Catawba River Trailhead.
- Subject to flooding. Check the Park Status page after periods of heavy precipitation.
- Pets allowed on a 3’ leash.
- Handicapped accessible.
Amenities Nearby
- Mountain bike trails with varying levels of difficulty can be accessed from the trail.
- A canoe/kayak launch is located near the trailhead.
Catawba River Trailhead
An additional trail access point is the Catawba River Trailhead (100 Celriver Rd.) which has restrooms, a water fountain and parking. It connects to the Piedmont Medical Center Trail between trail mile markers 2.25 and 2.50.
