Unveiling Of Williams-Ivory Cultural Center Signage

The City of Rock Hill and the African American Cultural Resources Advisory Committee (AACRAC) will hold a ceremony on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at noon to unveil a sign at an historic building at 332 West Main Street in Rock Hill.  The building will be named the Williams-Ivory Cultural Center.

Plans are being developed for the Center to be a location for the preservation of African American history and culture with the goal of educating the public on the important role that African Americans have had in the development of our community.

The public is invited to attend the unveiling ceremony.  In the event of inclement weather, it will be held at Mt. Prospect Baptist Church, 339 West Black Street, Rock Hill.
