How do I know if I qualify for assistance?

All programs require that the applicant meets income limits set by HUD.

How quickly will my home be fixed?

The HDCRH currently has a waiting list for repairs. We evaluate all applications for severity of repairs, and match funding sources and programs to fit your needs.

I have fallen behind in my house payments. How can you help?

While the HDCRH does not give money to pay your house payments, our default counselor will assist you in applying for modifications, refinances and negotiating with your lender.

Does the City have any homes for sale?

The HDCRH is in the middle of construction of homes in the Village at Arcade Mill, with houses currently under construction on Blackwell and Wright Streets. The homes are all three bedrooms and two baths and start at $129,000 and are built using the latest in energy efficient and LEED construction techniques. Assistance for these homes is typically up to $5,000. To be eligible to purchase, the buyer must be pre-qualified by a financial institution and approved by the HDCRH Loan Committee.
